I almost forgot; for my dad's birthday my mom got Shock Treatment, the sequel to Rocky Horror Picture Show. It is awesome. Made even more so by the fact that Jessica Harper (who played Phoenix in Phantom of the Paradise) played Janet.
Yes, Janet and Brad are played by different actors. In fact they are the only original characters, however, Riff Raff (Richard O'Brien), Magenta (Patricia Quinn) and Columbia (Nell Campbell) {my favorite character from Rocky} are still in it just under different aliases. It is awesome, though a bit confusing (though, honestly, that really just made it better for me), and the soundtrack is even better.
Go rent it!
And if you haven't seen Phantom of the Paradise yet, go rent that too!
And if you haven't seen Rocky Horror Picture Show, well then, shame on you!
